THE ORGANIC MODEL The organic model was an imprecisely-defined movement which aimed to revive an organic principle based on the natural world between 1914 and 1930. Convinced that the new cult of technology had distanced man from nature, the artists in this movement, including Matiushin and his pupils Boris, Maria and Ksenia Ender, turned their artistic energies to the organic and inorganic elements to be found in nature. |
