| A very limited number of works
by the members of Brücke previous to the constitution
of the group in June 1905 have reached us. Those
exhibited here enable us to appreciate the similarities
between the prints, oils and drawings of the formative
years of these artists. In addition to their interest
in Japanese prints and their active concern with
Neo-Impressionism, there are other innovative approaches
already in the years 1904-1905 that prepare Brücke's
later artistic language. |
