DRESDEN IN THE LIGHT OF VAN
GOGH |
|
The important exhibition that
the Arnold gallery in Dresden dedicated to Van Gogh's
oeuvre in November 1905 was a decisive experience
for the painters of Brücke. This section
gathers a selection of oils by Heckel, Kirchner,
Schmidt-Rottluff and Pechstein dating from 1905-1907,
which, under the influence of Van Gogh's pictorial
language, represent views of Dresden and its surroundings,
as well as figures and portraits. |
