RESTORATION THE PROCESS
Motivated by the need to control the damage suffered by the painting since its creation, around 1588, garantee its conservation and recover its aesthetic balance, the Museum’s Conservation department carried out a complete technical study that allowed the development of a broad intervention project and to securely execute it, using the most adecuate procedures and techniques.

Thanks to this restoration, we have increased our knowledge of the techniques and materilas used by Tintoretto, which has been essential to be able to act and hold back, to the extent possible, the deterioration of the painting. The findings obtained from the investigation on the creative process of the artist made easier the comprehension of The Paradise as a whole and of the context in which it was executed.
