Room 1
Room 1 (Introduction) opens with a view of Florence [cat. 1] in which some of the city’s most famous buildings can be recognised. Displayed alongside it are two manuscripts that belonged to Giovanna’s father, Maso di Luca degli Albizzi. The Libro debitori e creditori [cat. 5] records the expenditure on his daughter’s wedding and provides a full description of the bride’s trousseau.
